Abstract:

“Technology has changed many areas of our lives dramatically over the last 20 years. Striking examples are how we communicate and how we purchase goods and services.

Compared to other areas there has been much less impact of technology on healthcare. This is going to change over the next period. The potential of genomics, disease stratification, personalised medicine and big data to change our approach to medicine and health is enormous. But it does present some major challenges!”
