On the 4th of June 2015, the CCPL held a lunch time seminar on the topic of South African refugee law. The Centre was honoured to have Mr. William Kerfoot to provide us with an in depth analysis on the history of the protection of refugees in South Africa. Mr. Kerfoot examined the key sections of The Refugees Act, 130 of 1998, and went on to discuss the bureaucratic and administrative issues within the Act which have led to potential injustice under the current system.
